Why do I have to see a Family Doctor before the Specialist?


The Canadian Health Insurance Act mandates that before seeing a Specialist, all medical issues must be assessed by a primary care physician (mostly Family and ER doctors) who can then provides a referral to the specialist.

How can my family doctor refer me to a specialist at RapidClinic? ​

Can RapidClinic take care of medical emergencies?


No, RapidClinic is only appropriate for outpatient non-emergent care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please report to your nearest Emergency Department.
